- Boil water in a kettle
- Preheat the cup or teapot so that water does not cool quickly when it is put into the cup or teapot from the kettle. It is better to use porcelain or ceramic tea pot. Put in some boiling water into the pot or tea cup and cover the lid. Cover the cup or tea pot with towel or tea-cozy and then pour out water when the tea cup or pot becomes warm.
